After we left La Placita in the morning we headed over to a new bike and walk trail that is being planned for the Kaw River levee, running along the river between Kansas Avenue and the 12th Street bridge, in Kansas City, Kansas. Professor Nils Gore’s Arch509 studio will be helping to develop elements for improving the trail.
Special thanks to Wesley McKain, of Unified Government Health Department; Linda Pendleton, of the Armourdale Renewal Association, who sent out flyers to the Armourdale Community about the event; and Bundy Jenkins and Ernie of the Kaw Valley Drainage District, who helped us plan the event. We got some great advice from all the people who stopped by to share their knowledge.
